My TE offroad at Gulches - Now with Pics!
Pics added! So it's been about a month since I went to Gulches ORV park in SC, but i've been wanting to post about it ever since.
Let me first tell you that this place was great. I went a weekend after a huge event and I think there were maybe 3 other vehicles out there (apparently they had over 200 the weekend prior). The park is 80 acres I think, but there are tons of trails. It's pretty cool that you can do a trail in a stock TE, and right next to that is a trail for fully built rock crawlers!
Skip, the owner, was able to guide me throught the park (since it was slow). He drove around in a jeep, and would stop at the bottom of a climb to tell me about the lines to take and trees to avoid! I think they have volunteers who take people around the park when it's busy as well.
The park is supposedly pretty tricky after a good rain (very slippery), but i went on a dry day and was able to keep the TE shiney. We did at least 5 trails that required the locker. I even played with the crawl control a bit. Overall, it was a great place to ride (my first real off-roading in the TE). I highly reccomend anyone in the area check it out. They even have camping onsite.
