What about the other 2 4Runners?!

You could always try using a shortened version of the name and see if it bugs her. Like Izzy or Bella. You could also go full "dad joke" on her and keep telling her "It's not a bell, it's a truck.". Isabel...is not a bel... :evil:

I've never understood naming a car, but if it makes the car more special to the ladies, why not? My GF treats her car more like a trashcan with wheels than a prized possession. Maybe if her car had a name it would be treated with more respect?

Must be a woman thing. My ex-wife always named her vehicles, and they were always male names. Even her current Rav4.

My wife named my 4Runner "Lucile" or "Lucy". Strangely, it somehow fits, so I went with it (see .sig).

It's amazing to me how many people out there treat their car like a trashcan. It's no wonder so many people say they don't like to drive....I wouldn't like driving either if I had rotten bananas in my car.

My wife's problem is she hates to see clutter. So she shoves everything under the seat. If you look in the window her vehicle looks spotless... but there could be an old banana under the seat. Or mail from weeks ago with a bill that needs paying. Or a kid's homework assignment that we spent hours looking for the previous weekend.

Yeah - The rotten bananas, sunscreen, make up residue, coffee cups (not even the travel kind). It's pretty crazy what I find in there.

When I showed up at in 4Runner at my friend's house for the first time, he said: "So you brought Bismarck today". I guess the name came up not just because of the size, but also tough massive look. The name has stuck.
