Mystery Spray around CV boot

Please help me 4Runners! I think this may be CV lubrication, but I'm not sure. How is this problem solved, and how much should it cost at a garage?

PS: I have the OME 2.5 suspension all around. Thanks again.

Yea, it's just grease. You can see the rip near the hose clamp it looks like. You need to remove the CV and reboot it, or buy a new CV. I would just reboot it, it's a simple process and the reboot kit costs like $25 at NAPA or whatever. If you have to wait awhile to reboot it or replace it don't worry, the CV will go a long time with a tear in the boot but obviously sooner is better.

Check for a rip. If there is no rip then just go out and get some hose clamps, clip off the old ones, and reclamp. If you wanted to you could inject some new Grease as well. This is quite common on newly lifted buggys.

Same thing happened to mine. I cleaned up the boot, check for rips and when I didn't find any, I injected some grease inside the boot and installed a hose clamp after removing the stock clamp.
