Hello friends!
Okay, so I know there are a couple of threads on this already, but most are dead, and I had a few specific questions.
I really like the idea of using the Wvity-01, as it is an all-in-one solution for bypass, lockout, and video input. The problem is that it is $300+, Not Cool!
Looking at other options, I could use this bypass given praise on T4R and add the video inputs myself. It may save a few dollars but probably wouldn't be as clean of a solution.
If I did go the cheaper option, I would use a Mirabox for wireless video, various converters /cables (1,2,3)and the override from top4runners.com
My biggest concern is with either override, will there be a problem with NAV speed/positioning not displaying correct info? As well as, say I am streaming Google Maps or Youtube to the HU, will it automatically switch back to the HOME screen after a few minutes? This is probably my biggest concern, because why spend good money if it will only work a few minutes at a time!
I was really hoping there was an easy hack button press combo to enable Nav override but no matter how hard i hoped, nothing happened :noidea:
Finally, if anyone has a *cheaper* or simpler solution that i have missed, PLEASE help me! I know there are lots of geniuses out there! :hail:
Thanks you guys!
