Way more molly in Toyota oil.

And it is detrimental to engine bearings:

Molybdenum additives have been replacing ZDDP in European oils for several years now as the high contact pressure alternative.
It is now being reported that in higher concentrations the "moly" compounds are conductive and causing galvanic corrosion of copper.

I love the simpletons who think “if Toyota sells it, it must be good”, or “more is better”, “More moly is better just because.”

Guarantee that none of the Oil OCD guys have ever torn down and rebuilt an engine.

Dont know of anyone here doing that. There are reasons things may be better or are perceived to be better individually, and that's because they usually are. Mobil 1 changed their formula a while back and it's not like it was or similar to Toyota oil.

All depends on the application and use. Any crap oil is fine to run if you change it often enough but that's not an option for some, so synthetic and higher grade oils will serve them better. I recently switched to Amsoil.

Dang! You guys get your oil CHEAP!!! Normally it's about $27/5 qts at Walmart here in CALI.
