i have a 2010 T.E. this is not my first Toyota but my first 4runner and want to lift it, i called my local offroad shop and they gave me two options a 2.5 inch front and 1.5 inch back lift for right around 200 dollars and a 3 inch front and 1.5 inch back lift for right around 300 dollars, i am wanting to put 285/70/17's will they rub with a 2.5 inch lift on the front?

These are spacer lifts. You'll have reduced ride quality and reduced wheel travel.

Go with new springs/shocks for the best results.

285/70/17 will rub most likely at full lock. If you get aftermarket UCAs you can adjust the caster to +4* to avoid the body mount rub, then move the fender liner forward.

Also, try the search feature, there's plenty of information on fitting 285/70/17

Do yourself a favor and spend a few hours browsing this site. You will learn a ton about different lifts and others' experiences with various products. It all depends on how much you want to spend and what you plan on doing with your rig. If you feel you are up to the task, it is not too bad installing the lift yourself. There are plenty of write ups, you learn a lot about your rig, and it saves you $$ for more mods.

Good luck!
