100% agree I hate when I have to pound something into place.

Am I spying a 1/2" top plate spacer on there?!? If that should (somewhat obviously) be your problem. Without an aftermarket upper arm, you can only fit a 3/8" spacer up there without causing the problems you are seeing... At least, that's what I found when I did my suspension last year.

yes the top plate spacer came with it so I figured it was supposed to go on it, I could leave it off. the instructions said nothing about that, hmm. I'm using all spare parts for this build so these are off my other truck, stock.

not planning on swapping in custom aftermarket uppers, but that does make sense. hmmm dam it.

I think that Eibach setup is a 1.5" lift without any extra spacers, which is probably reasonable for what you are looking for. The 1/2" spacer bumps that up around 2.5" lift. You'll find out when the frame is back under a body/engine...
