I also posted a short version of this in the engine/suspension/tires/etc forum, but since I have a 5th gen (2013 SR5) I figure I'll post here as well:
Based on the recommendation of several guys and the threads here, one of the easiest and most useful upgrades seems to be tires.
So here's my question: I'm leaning toward a slightly bigger tire, and plan on doing a 3" suspension lift down the road but not right now. Would 285/70/17's work? I have a stock '13 SR5. Anyone know the biggest size I could use without getting into rubbing issues? I'm not going to be doing any rock crawling or anything soon so articulation probably won't get maxed out.
Also, the tire I was leaning toward was the Cooper Discoverer ATP (285/70/17) or Nitto Terra Grapplers. Anyone have any input on this?
Thanks so much in advance for all your guys' knowledge.
