Need help with a tire decision!

Im not buying a lift anytime soon lol. Im happy with where its at for now. This thing gets ragged out as it is, the more I do to it, the more it costs me in the long run. Already have 3 trips planned in the next few months.

I wouldnt mind a body lift though...

Too many miles.......

I would go with the Duratracs unless you have money to burn... those MT/Rs wear a lot quicker. They're worth it if you need them for off roading but the Duratracs will be better unless you spend a lot of time in the dirt.

Thanks a lot Zach I have wasted at least 2 hours looking at this thread, good find.

I know people running both the new MTRs and the Duratracs and they seem to be wearing the same. They probably only have about 10k on them so maybe too early to tell.

I had the 2 sets of the old school MTRs on my Wrangler (33’s and 35’s) and they were good for about 45K.

Wow really? 45K?

I had three sets of the old ones on my Z and only got about 20-25K out of each set

So, what you're saying is that your girlfriend came out and called you So Gay huh? Ouch!

My next 4R purchase is also going to be tires, just need to wait a few months first. I've been leaning towards the Terra Grapplers, but also like the Hankook Dynapros. The 18's on the Limited kind of screws me if I want to go much bigger than stock though, which sucks. Thinking 265/65, but not sure.

Who are you having install your new tires?

Not sure what a Z is but the Wrangler is pretty light (TJ about 3500-3800lbs) and they could be a big factor on how they wear.

Old habits... Z71 (thought you'd see it in my sig)... Oh yeah, weight is probably the big factor.

It's a regular cab v8 and about the same weight as the 4R (plus a winch, bumper, full toolbox, and 2" taller & wider tires)
