Night shots for those interested

Here are some more pictures of my brackets, as well as a night shot from the driver seat, to show the glare...or lack thereof.

Most of the glare you see is just the reflection coming off of the lighted trees, as the hood has been recently waxed. The actual glare from the light is very minimal. Keep in mind that these are spot lights, rather than flood.

There are some real nice creative ideas here in this thread. Just curious, but what's the advantage of having the lights mounted here, as opposed to on the bumper or roof rack? Or is it just an additional place to mount even more lights?

For me, I was just looking to be creative, while also trying to add some height to where the lights are mounted, so that the range could be extended a little. But yes it is probably just another place to mount lights. ( I have a Rigid Light Bar on my bumper already) Plus I am thinking about getting a new bumper and don't have a roof rack

for me, I couldn't stand the look of these rigid's on my stock bumper. I thought of it, placed them there and it wasn't happening for me. but yeah other than that, it's something different.

You really think I should? Or at least maybe just give the dimensions...
I am still refining it. [MENTION=46329]blcktpgsr[/MENTION] has the right idea with having one other point of contact to eliminate vibrations. Even though I made my brackets out of 12-gauge stainless, there were still some vibrations present. I found a solution by cutting some dense rubber to put between the bracket and the frame. Even though this works well, I am not completely satisfied with the ghetto fix haha.

Well whenever you guys figure out the best way, count me in on the buy! I really like the idea of mounting the Rigids there.

So i got to test these things out a little bit on my hunting trip and yeah here are my results... I guess I was mistaken about the hood glare. When my hood got dusty from the dirt roads, you can notice quite a bit more hood glare. It still wasn't blinding or annoying. Even my dad and his friend who hate those HID head lights :behindsofa: They get pissed at everyone with them because they are too bright and hurt their eyes. Anyway they didn't say anything about the glare bothering them.

These lights kinda suck when it's too dusty. They do ok when it's clear, I still haven't really got to test them as much as i would like. I tried them on an empty highway and was kind of disappointed. It might be cause i aimed them so high to get past my highbeams?? but yeah... in the end, don't waste your money on rigid's if your gonna do this. I'm sure the knockoff brand can perform just as good, if not better.

I've got some ill post here in a little bit, nothing fancy yet, it's just a couple pics from my hunting trip. My Dad and his friend, would have totally given me all kinds of crap for taking pics of my rig all the time

Soooo... Any updates on a possible group buy for these? Just never heard any further progress, didn't know if it was still something y'all are looking into doing.
