I have the same issue with my PIAA's, it bugged me at first, but im used to it now. After 2 years my blades are starting to streak, im trying to decide if I want new or inserts or a diff. brand of blade.

Wasnt too happy with these in the extreme Canadian cold. Their design makes them freeze up so fast under -15C and a lot of times i had to stop driving and crack the ice because the wiper wont clean from the ice buildup. they would scratch the windshield and get the window dirtier so i couldnt see. Its not fun pulling off the highway to remove ice from wipers in -25C. they lasted me about 6 months.
Toyota OEM are the best. they're cheap, refillable and have never underperformed or frozen over in extreme cold. tried and tested my last trip to the arctic in -51c.

I am such a good boy, I searched and searched and bringing this thread from dead...
I need new wipers and so far I know I need:
22''Driver+20''Passenger side
Icons and PIAA's are a no-no
Silblade and Neoform are a go go
Couple people recently commented on OEM to be a go go, but I know my OEM's are the suck.
What does everyone else think?

I've tried just about every blade mentioned in this thread. In my opinion, you can't beat the OEM blade refills when you look at blade performance and cost together. The other blades are just too expensive and don't really seem to work any better than a new set of OEM blades. Even the most expensive blades like the Icons tend to wear out pretty fast and start leaving streaks. I think I'll just stick with the OEM blade refills from now on.

Any idea where you can get the refills? Everyone I talked to only has the whole assembly.
My local dealer sells them.

The Icons and the like do outperform OEM blades when it comes to not freezing up and leaving untouched patches across the windshield. I really like the Icons and my friend got over two years and still going from his which is plenty of life and worth the $30 I paid for mine. I will never go back to traditional blades.
I've had my (the same) Neoforms on for just over 2 years now and they're still going good! Keep in mind though that my baby is only at 22,000 miles

I couldn't find any Neofoam at my local store so i bought the rainx latitude. works pretty great so far.
I also wanted to change out the rear one but don't know how to take it off. anyone has any ideas?

hey guys, i got the rainx lattitude wipers and now i need some replacement, so do they have the replaceable wiper insert for sale, so i can change them out without having to spend over 40 bucks for the whole thing again?

so has anyone changed out the back windshield wiper yet? i didn't see any insert for the rainx latitude when i was at the stores so i'm guessing not...
I couldn't find any neoform's at advance autoparts either, went with the rainx latitudes.
How long did they last you?
I'm also curious about the rear blade, i'm guessing just get the rubber insert from the dealer

Maybe I'll just buy new wipers, change the inserts out on the old to the new and vise versa, tell the sales I wasn't satisfied with the wipers and get a refund.

Today I replaced all three of my blades with Trico blades. The two upfront were replaced with Neoforms and the rear with Exactfit. The two upfront gave me a touch of trouble during the install, but the rear, despite what I've read, was very easy to replace.
Haven't tested them out in weather yet, but, for those of you who complained that Icons don't have the best coverage, the Neoforms cover the whole windshield. They even go to the very top (and maybe even a touch over). I will post back after using them in the rain and snow. This winter I'll be in Bozeman.
