You want to live in a fairy tale world where everyone posts positive spin/fluff go start your own forum, at least then you would actually have policing ability instead of pretending to like you do here.

People must keep files of pre-written responses like the cut and paste "should have taken it for a test drive" and think they are doing the forum a favor by posting them.

Venting is a normal process of internet forums.

1. When purchasing a vehicle it's the owner's responsability to ask questions, verify answers, and check for features. It's part of the due diligence associated with purchasing a vehicle. If you didn't do that and come to find the vehicle doesn't have or isn't offered with certain features you wanted, then you are to blame for not following up prior to purchase. Most people understand this which leads to factual comments suggesting more care should have been taken.

2. Reading comprehension, would be comprehending that in the initial post the OP indicated that they "picked up" an LE, and did not indicate that it was for their wife. That post came after.

3. If I was picking up a new vehicle for my wife, and said vehicle was a LE 4Runner I would be making sure, and she would be making sure it was exactly what she wanted.

4. We are partaking in the normal process of venting on an internet forum.

Still a pretty darn nice rig! Buyers remorse sucks, been there. Hope you and the wife can get over your dislikes. If your really unhappy with it and you know it's gonna bother you for the life of the vehicle, sell it for what you/she want and be done with it.

Same here. My heated seats warm up super quick/

The seat warmer was the complaint that really caught my eye! It's been hovering around -20 celcius here in Calgary the past week and the seat warmers on my '14 TE supply really good heat way faster than the HVAC system. As good or better than other cars I've had/have.

Agree with most of the posters - the other issues are a real big "meh" from me. Nice to have but way less important than performance.

Got down to 60 here last night. If it gets down in the 50s I may turn mine on to see if it works. Then again if it gets that cold I may stay in the house. Still using the ventilated seats here.

My world is the farthest from a fairy tale world you can imagine. Ask my children. I am that honest guy. If you are fat and you ask my opinion then I will tell you that you are fat. Simple. I have posted negative stuff about the 4Runner. I absolutely hate my mirrors right now as they whistle Dixie at 70 mph. I will fix them though as I have identified the area where the Japanese guy put the clarinet reed.
Policing ability? Really? Apparently you just have a problem with the truth being spoken. If you are wrong on a fact and I know you are wrong I will post the proper fact so others don't get led down yet another mythical road. If you call that policing then guilty as charged.

I have a 2015 Limited in Blizzard pearl. I love it. I just put on OPOR sliders.

I came close on buying the 2014 GX460. I found one in California sitting on a dealer's lot for a while. It was Starfire pearl white. Black interior. The navigation package w/ the extras (tow hitch etc)...

They wanted 53k (marked down from 55k). I got them down to 48k... My hard ceiling price was 45k. Unfortunately I couldn't find a gx460 to test drive in my area.

I bought my 2015 limited w/ 3rd seating for $42.1k + TTL... 2 weeks later I got a call from the lexus dealer that they were willing to do 46k, but I had already bought and started to drive my 4runner.

Do I regret not getting the lexus... not really. Would it have been nice? Sure. But i'm only getting slightly nicer leather, same BS navigation head unit... But the v8 i'm sure would have been amazing. The side opening rear hatch I think is stupid though.

all in all i'm very happy with my 4runner.

Why the constant moaning about a power hatch anyway? They're heavier, fussy to close or open, more prone to failure, noisy and slow, sometimes with a mind of their own. I've experienced almost every power hatch available, and always come back to appreciate the simplicity and lightness of the 4R gate.

I have a permanently bad shoulder, and have never owned a vehicle with a power hatch. I have had a couple rentals with them, and it's one of those ideas I like in principle... but I have no experience with real world practicality.

My 4Runner is pretty base, but that's just less parts to fail over time.

Not sure why you brought up politics? I don't post about politics on the internet not my thing...I can only assume you're going on a side rant there.

Nothing wrong with your post(s), I just don't agree with any (99.5% maybe) of your opinions. The occasional chart and/or stats are useful when they are delivered opinion free though.

I agree, not something I would want. I would much rather have the manual gate.
