Here is our T4R 2000 Desert Dune Limited, auto, 4wd with elocker(yeah, my son messed up the front and rear bumpers, Eh, they are going to be replaced so no worries) - We installed the SS 1.2 lift recently as well as the Tundra upgraded brakes....and decided to go with new wheels and tires which really transformed the truck. I also installed a new radiator after a flush, then added new Toyota red coolant/distilled water. Changed the timing belt, thermostat, and associated goodies. Drain and filled the transmission fluid a LOT. Several thousand dollars later and we have one heck of a nice riding truck, the brakes are outstanding, and there are zero vibrations, shakes, rattles, etc, I took her up to 70mph and it drives awesome. I was worried about balancing the tires, or alignment problems, but the truck is tight, considering it has 198k miles it is quite amazing. The 4.30 gearing seems to be plenty with the 285 75r16 tires, she has plenty of get-up-and-go for me, really don't notice any difference from the stock 265 75r16 tires. Also wanted to make note that these wheels fit over the Tundra 231 calipers and have plenty of clearance next to the UCA's even at full droop. The wheels are MB 352 Matt Black from Discount Tires.....They are 16x8.5 4.5 BS(I think) with -6mm offset. The guys at the store were pretty clueless so I had to verify everything with my own tape. Still need to do a few mods and change a few more fluids, but really happy with the truck and wanted to share even though these pics are terrible. Oh, and momma still uses this truck from time to time so the step boards are staying, hey they are actually useful as this thing is in the air :lookout:
If you added 25-30% to the fronts, it would probably match the rears nicely and it would be enough to cut down on the hot sun you get there.
