New 4Runner - Lift, Wheels, Tires

They are a great tire for what they are. As for the noise, I know that any aggressive tire is going to be as loud or louder than these so it doesn't bother me.
Funny thing, I had the alignment done today and drove a 100 or so miles on these brand new tires, the humming has decreased 10 fold, it is now what I remembered them being on my other truck.....acceptable now, my wife even noticed how quiet they got, not sure why but glad they quieted down. The guy said the alignment/tow was really bad, like 1.3 degrees off/inward which may have caused the bad humming, not sure.
Makes sense. If the tires weren't contacting the road properly, I could see that causing extra noise or at least a different noise.
Yeah, that must have been the issue as they are normal now, sound like a big mud tire, nothing more or less.
One thing I have noticed is these lifted 4runners get a lot of attention where I live, already had a few guys ask me about it and the neck bending around town is surprising.....It is a good looking rig though, no doubt they are striking.

Truck purchase price, plus everything I've done which includes maintenance items....around $7,000 total invested. I handled most of the labor.
Lifted toyotas are really common here in British Columbia but the lifted 3rd gens are still pretty rare. Besides the people I know through the local clubs, I rarely to never see nicely built 3rd gens driving around.

I agree, they worked fine for me.
Yeah the older toyotas, particularly the pick ups, are a lot more common to see lifted. Seeing a third gen that is doing something other than dropping off the kids or running groceries is a big deal!
