Well after selling my G35 for something that isn't a money pit I think I may have bought another one.

Its a 1998 sunfire red 2wd 4runner 3.4l SR5. It was bought completely stock with a stack of maintenance records. Also it only has 109k miles which is why I picked it up. Already removed running boards and fender trim. I am not planning on nothing to crazy as far as lifts. Maybe camburg uppers and fox resi coils if I can ever sell my parts for my g35.

Mods currently about to be installed:

B&M 70268 external tranny cooler(Might add cooling fan if temps get high)
B&M tranny temp gauge
Weathertech floor liners
Coverking black mesh front seat covers
Clear corners
plastidip chrome, emblems, and wheels
New oem fan clutch, LBJ, and OTE

My wife is looking at a 2004 G35 coupe, did you have a lot of problems with it or just did a lot of mods? I like the way they look but I've only owned Toyota and Lexus products for a long time and I'm not sure about the Nissan reliability.

Welcome to the 4runner owners club, you can't beat them. I've got a 2000 and a 1998 right now and love them. Trying to sell the 2000 so I can get a 4th generation.

Ok so I haven't really done anything until recently, but here is what is going down.

I picked up a sport hood from certifit and installed clear corners with LEDs. I have all the parts for the hood just waiting to get a respray.

Picked up some TRD forged wheels with BFG AT 275/75/17 sitting at my work right now.

Then I picked up King coilovers, Fox LC rear shocks, OME 906 springs, and Camburg uppers. I am doing OEM ball joints, OEM OTE, Moog ITE, Poly rack bushings, and front sway bar removal with this as well.

More to come as well. I am maybe switching up the wheels for some Method NVs not sure yet. I have Coverking mesh seat covers, but will be switching to the tactical ones that they have. I am wanting a roof rack and its either a Rola Vortex or WMW rack. Tube bumper is on the waiting list of mods. Stay tuned for more

I am in the market for a 5 speed 4x4 donor if I can find one, I sure do have a lot of fun offroad even for a 2wd.

Good to hear about you looking for a 4wd with all those goodies. Forgive my observtion, since you just recently got this 2wd model and the resale on it should be comparable to what you gave, maybe save yourself the trouble and find a replacement base rig? Find a 5 spd, 4wd with a factory locker and you woud have a decked out rig with all your goodies waiting by... Just a thought.

I am in the middle of a full motor/tranny swap and am almost 1 month into the process...

Well I almost sold this and I couldn't bring myself to do it. I was looking real hard and getting a BRZ, but decided to go in for the long haul on this and keep it forever. Who does the retrofits around here and how much do they average. Here shortly I will be purchasing the AOR plate front bumper and getting a full respray. I wanted to go flat black, but doing it right would be to much work so I am just going to keep it the red color.

How do u like them kings? You are number 4 on this site that is running them myself included. Have you installed the UCA yet? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it with my kings.....

So another thought what you should do. Sound deaden the interior. Makes a world of difference highway driving!!

I like them a lot, I had KYBs on it before these and it is a world a difference. I do have installed them and with them I was able to get it aligned correctly. I do mob out in the desert a lot and from what I understand is a uniball is much stronger.

Sound deaden the interior is something I definitely want to do.
