New 4Runner question

I'm looking to downsize from my 15 Tundra back to a 4runner(had a 12 that I traded in on the Tundra), and really miss my 4Runner the more I think about it.

Looking at going back to one, and I see that now they only have the manual 4x4 linkage in the Trail and TRDPro, but those are also the models that do not offer 3rd row seating. Is there anyway to special order an SR5 Premium with 3rd row seating and a manual 4x4 linkage instead of the selector knob thing?

It's mostly personal preference, but it may be a deal breaker if I can't get it(or force me to look at a used 12-13 that has what I want.

nope, only option would be for you to put a 3rd row in a trail, which has been done here, but you don't have airbags.

or swap transfer cases to a SR5 but based on the question I assume that is not an option.

So

Buy a SR5 and get your 3rd row but give up the +10hp and +2" to your man hood the level offers or buy the Trail. Tough choices

Even with the lever you still have solenoids in the ADD no matter what year.

Other than having the Manly Man shift lever vs the Girly Girl knob, I don't see the big deal. I've not read one single post reporting failure of the knob-type.
