So I have a new 2012 Ltd 4Runner & I've read the entire manual ... yes, I'm crazy like that!
. There's a couple questions that I cannot figure out, though.
First question ... so I understand that the TRAC system is operating in H4F & H4L, but the manual says that the TRAC system shuts off when I switch to L4L. It then goes on to talk about switching on the A-TRAC system in L4L. So, I'm left wondering ... what is the difference between the TRAC system & the A-TRAC system? Don't the two systems essentially try to accomplish the same thing?? Why wouldn't the A-TRAC automatically come on when switched to L4L instead of requiring a switch???
If anyone can offer a brief explanation it would be appreciated. Situational examples are also appreciated ... like when would I ever be in L4L and NOT want the A-TRAC turned on, as an example. Thanks so much!! ... Wade
