New Addicted Offroad Tube Bumper Install Pics

Here's how I mounted my OEM turn signals. It was pretty easy to get the plate below the headlight out, drill holes in it, then run self tapping screws into the turn signal. I was originally concerned with them being behind the tube for the most part, but people seem to be able to see them just fine.

It took me a second to place what was wrong with your front end. it just seemed something was off. your toyota emblem is upside down. nice 4runner i have 99 silver limited , would love to have that bumper.

Jon, I noticed you have 33's, did you happen to regear? And if so how much did it cost you. Nice build btw. :thumb3:

Yup 33's and no need to regear. The reason I went 33's and not 35's was to not have to gear. Will be going up to 35's with a regear when these wear out though.

When I first saw it on another guys rig it looked like :flipoff: to me so it was a must have for my junk.

ARB weighs in around 150lbs though.

Also, it doesn't look nasty behind it at all. Especially on darker models. Or, paint match the bumper and it all blends in.

Sorry, I didn't state that very clearly, lol. Your tube bumper is not much different than a stock bumper.....if the thing your comparing it to is a stock bumper vs an ARB.

39lbs vs 68lbs isn't much compared to 39lbs vs 150lbs. That's what I was trying to say.



And damn...that silver bumper looks sick. I really really like that. I know I could make a tube bumper look good on my rig for a while, but it's so rusty, I know the paint would rust off and it would look bad after probably 2 years. Rust Belt FTL.

Mag. Chloride isn't our friend here either. I usually paint all my tube work and a lot of the underside stuff twice a year. Usually takes me about an hour to touch everything up again.

I mounted mine like that but with 3M double sided foam tape. They passed the 80MPH test on the freeway. If you didn't I would take your turns off and put silicon where the screws go then put them back on so they don't fill with water.

how do the ends line up with the limited flares?

Its actually the same cut and bend on both bumpers. It designed to slider just under the flare.

As you can see, here is BigJohn's with the Sport/Limited flares.

And, here is mine with no flares:

I was very careful to screw into the solid portion of the light. No way for water to get in:biggrin2:

Also, how can I let you guys know that I need my tube extended further because of the limited flares on my vehicle? BTW, I think your bumper seems the most practical for me, being that it looks extremely light, durable, attractive, and out of my damn tires way!

Our bumpers will work for Limited flares or no flares. The tube is designed to help protect the outer edges anyway.

Also, Our current bumpers have a bolt on crossmember, so you don't have to weld.

I love it! That should be super easy to install. Also, i am not sure if I should pay to add turn signals or If i should reuse my current ones and remount them. How do the lights look? Got pics?
