New Forerunner Fab Custom Rear Links

Hello All!

id like to show you guys a couple products I've been working on lately. first up is a full set of custom rear links for the 4th and 5th gen 4runner.

these will consist of:

Panhard Bar
2 Upper Links
2 Lower Links

each piece can be purchased separately or as a full set.

specs on each component:

Panhard Bar -

3/4" Bore Heat & Cryo Treated Chromoly Heims (optional 7/8" Heims Available +$15)
DOM Tubing 1.5" X .250" Wall

Upper Links-

3/4" Bore Heat & Cryo Treated Chromoly Heims
DOM Tubing 1.5" X .250" Wall

Lower Links-

7/8" Bore Heat & Cryo Treated Chromoly Heims
DOM Tubing 1.75" X .250" Wall


Each Set of Links Will include the option of the following:

+Oversized 5/8" Grade 8 Hardware for each link Purchased
(this will require drilling the mounting holes to 5/8" [about a 1/16" larger than Stock] This is easy to do on lower link and panhard mounting points but will require a little work for access on the uppers. if you would like to do uppers stock hardware and the rest oversized that works also)

+9/16" Bore Heims That Will Accept Factory Hardware With No Modification To The Existing Mount

Excellent Question!!

there are many benefits, starting with strength: these links are made of 1.75" DOM tubing with .250" wall thickness AKA as extremely stout. the stock links are only made from 1.25" Hrew tubing and only has a measly 1/8" wall thickness so if you offroad often they will or perhaps already look like this:







the second benefit would be increased flexibility offroad. no longer are you limited by the thick rubber bushings on a stock link. you now would have have a heim on each end of your rear linked suspension. this will offer greater up and down travel and side to side flex. i have been running the same exact setup on my truck for over three years and in that time i have ran the rubicon from loon lake to tahoe (aka the full trail) i have done the fordyce trail, death valley, mojave road, pismo beach. so you can see this setup is ideal for any offroad climate. the unrestrained flexibility is truly awesome offroad.


the third benefit is unlimited adjusted of the Links ON THE TRUCK! say you decide to get some 35"s or even 33"s and you want to center your axle in the wheel well? well you just loosen the lock nuts on each side of the link and spin the link to the desired length and the proceed to tighten the lock nuts. another huge advantage is with the adjustable panhard bar. most people when they do a lift say 3" or so never mess with the panhard but with a adjustable panhard you can adjust it to CENTER the axle within the frame depending on your lift and suspension setup
