New Hanna Quality Rock Sliders

Bluto, part money and part timing. I decided against going the spacer route and decided instead to go with the Donahoe Coil Overs. Donahoe is presently working on a matched set of springs/shocks in the rear so I figure I'll just wait.

Since I will be starting out on easy level trails I figured I would be ok for now in regards to height. I did ask myself the same question. I think increasing the height would normally be first and then go with the rock sliders. But for me this order will work well.

JB. I forgot to get that measurement for you. It is more than 12 inches above the ground at the front bracket. I upsized my tires so subtract 1/2 inch and call it 11 1/2 inches at the front measurement for standard tires.

Thanks. That sounds about the same as with the running boards.
'Course the lean clearance is much better and hell, they're sliders, who cares if you bash 'em. I really like the idea of having an easy Hi-lift jack connection point. Nowhere I've been stuck yet couldn't have been cured with a Hi-lift jack.

Also, my rear door tip edge just grazed the slider. So we snipped it off and coated it. Can't even tell. In looking at the overall design most if not all should not have this problem. Again this appears to be specific to mine due to working around frame welding melt.

I'd also appreciate any pictures of how you mounted them (brackets). I'm also shopping for bolt-on sliders.

Joseph, I got the pet barrier from weathertech.com. I originally bought it for our 98 Expedition but it fits perfect in my 4Runner. It works real well.

Alex, you can't even tell there was a snip job done. The corner of the rear overfender facing forward just touched on the rear curved portion of the slider.

As for the mounting of the sliders. I don't have any photos other than to show you what it looks like completed. There are two hangars per side that are like two big staples that hang down from the frame rail.

This design allows for the sliders to accommodate the XREAS line that run along the outside of the frame rail. You can see how the lines are not impeded by the slider brackets.

Also, the nuts probably will get damaged but they are pretty stout and I doubt will come off. I won't be taking off the sliders so I am not concerned if they get damaged.

Nice Homepage and the sliders look clean. But I'm sure looks only go as far as how clean they'll actually stay, since they are sliders.

What did he charge you for shipping and where in SoCal are you?

I don't recall the shipping amount. He did what was called a drop ship at a loading facility - I believe in Irvine. Whatever the amount I remember it being reasonable and they arrived in very good shape.

4 additional days later I finally got an answer.... $98 to Irvine.
It would take all day and $75 of gas to go to SLO hence shipping is the way to go.


How is the paint holding up? Did you add anything on top to make it less slippery as a step? Any chance of seeing them in person?

i agree with some but any sliders can be easily touched up and i can lift my truck with a high lift by the sliders. not bashing the sliders just amazed at the price!!! but if you have a 4th gen, 700 for sliders probably isnt hurting your pockets!!!
