Actually, I paid about $900 shipped on a Black Friday sale. And the Morimoto's are leaps and bounds better than my stock headlights when aimed properly. Not to mention, a much simpler, cleaner, OEM style look.
These things just look to busy for my personal taste and look like something from a car on a Transformer movie.
To each their own, but for me, those look hideous and cheap. The morimotos are leaps ahead in terms of design. And I'm with gswift, the morimotos when aimed right are bright as hell and people that see them in person are amazed at the way they look on and off.
The DRL strips just look fake and not subtle at all. But like I said, to each their own...just not for me.

Constructive: Black'em out and keep it to 1 or 2 low beam bulbs, unless you add an amber. if you add an amber, find a space and cram it in!as many as possible!!!!

The Alpharex lights look a lot better than Morimoto’s. Hoprefully they perform better too.

Looks pretty good actually, from the front and from the drivers seat.
LED. Aiden James Customs has a pair and has been posting videos on their facebook. They also use H7, not H11 Bulbs.
Here's a closer pic of the ones I shared from Facebook. These are the midnight black versions you reference. I imagine it is the model everyone will choose.

That photo does make them look a ton better than in the "stock" picture, not sure why that is but it's clean look for sure! How's the quality of them seem, if good with that light output for under $500 I think they'll do well.
As for OP comments, dude you freaked out over some assumptions as to why you seemed so vested in these headlights. My bad for offending you, but dang!
