I'm looking to purchase an 05 4Runner Sport with the V8.

Only problem is as a broke college kid, I need money first.

But in the meantime, I'll be around - soaking up whatever knowledge I can, there seems to be no shortage of it.

Of course I'd be lifting it, at least 3" in the rear and probably 3" up front so when I'm towing she'll sit level.

I'd probably run the new General Grabbers in the biggest size I could stuff under there while keeping the mud flaps.

Ideally, new front and rear bumpers and roof rack. I'd put LED's where ever I can mount them.

'06 Headlight conversion or I might consider a TRS conversion.

Cold Air intake.

Flowmaster 50 Series w/ side exit mod.

Sub and amps from current car would be switched over, gotta have my bass.

Along with a rear bumper that relocates the spare from underneath, I'd probably add a secondary fuel tank and mount a secondary battery underneath as well.

Secondary Transmission cooler for when I tow as well as Transmission temp gauge.

ARB Locking diff stealth compressor mount in rear compartment.

BUT, I currently own a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo LS 3.2L V6.

Sadly just 2wd - but she's capable.

List of mods include:

Lift Related:

Cooper Discoverer AT3's in 265/75R16.
If you're like me, 31.6 x 10.4 x 16 make a whole lot more sense.
OME 912 rear springs, 3" of lift and increase load capacity.
Indy4x HD Torsion Bars, 2.5" of lift after cranking.
Upper Ball Joint flip to correct alignment.
Monroe Sensatrac at all corners.
Rear Brake Line "T" extension.

Exterior Accesories:

Hunter Brush Guard.
2 KC Slimlite 6" Long Range Off-Road Lights.
Nerf (Step) Bars.
2 1/2" Hidden Hitch Receiver.
Weather Tech In-Channel Vent Shades.

Interior:

Pioneer DEH-9400BH Head unit.
Alpine Power Pack Amp.
Alpine 6 1/2" Components in front doors.
Polk 6 1/2" Coaxials in rear doors.
Polk 4" over back glass.
Audioque 1200D amp w/ 4ga. power and ground.
12" Kicker L5 in ported box.

Powerplant related:

Air box mod.
Thrush Welded Muffler.
Aero Turbine resonator.

Couple pics of the ride.

Thank you, bud.

I really want one, especially for the V8.

I tow on a fairly regular basis, varying loads, but the little 3.2L I have now just plain sucks.

Welcome!
I hope to be in your neck of the woods (Columbia) in March/April for some Mtn biking.

Good luck with the purchase! I remember my poor college student days well.....but they were a long, long, time ago.

We've got some good mtb trails around Columbia.

Harbison State Forest has a wide variety of trails recommend checking that out if it's not on your list already. Lloyd's Woods (might be Lloyd's Forest) in Newberry is a great lesser known spot as well.

If you're a BBQ guy, Lil' Pigs BBQ on Alpine Rd over by the Ft. Jackson end of town is among the best in the state. Have to check them out. Family run Buffet Style, delicious.

Thanks for the well wishes, can tell I'm going to like it around here already.
