*NEW* National Luna TWIN 90L FRIDGE/FREEZER

How sweet does this look... I can put my beers on one side and my vodka on the other and only have to open one lid for some ultimate refreshment on the trails :tongue:

No seriously this fridge looks pretty cool. Does anyone here know more about it? It seems according to their spec's that its amp drawing is considerable low considering its a 90L fridge/freezer. @ 12V - 2.5Amps average running current.
35 amphours / day average power draw.

So who's going to be the guinea pig?

I have a Engel 43qt and it may be THE best mod that I have done. That is saying a lot. It holds a week's worth of provisions for two. That includes lots of fruits and vegetables, including lots of salad makings.
A fridge is awesome when wheeling. No ice/water sloshing around and no soggy or spoiled food.

Thank you for sharing that.... I will have a closer look into that make and model. Thats what I'm looking for; a fridge big enough to supply at least a week's provisions for 2.

I do run it off a second battery, that charges when the rig is running. I have used it in the Moab summer, 115*+, and it stays at my 37*. Power Consumption: 0.7 - 2.5 Amps (at 12V DC) http://www.engel-usa.com/index.php?...category_id=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=59 . Remember that the amp rating is just when running. I'm guessing that in normal weather, it'll run 15 min out of the hour (or ~.625 amps/hr)(or ~15 amps/day). It's also quiet, just a slight hum. I sleep with it inside my rig.

The footnote on power consumption caught my eye. The spec is for an ambient temp of 32 degrees. F or C? If it is 32 degrees F then there is not much cooling to be done.
