New Shoes - NO LIFT = 285/50/20 on 20x9 That Fit

So it took me a while to find the right rims that would look close to stock and have them in stock locally. Well I finally found these and let me say, they fit absolutely perfect. No rubbing on bumps, u-turns, cornering, backing up, anything. The tires are made by MB Motoring (Vortex Rim) in a 20x9 with a 10 offset. Tires are tucked in nicely into the wheel well, don't protrude at all and I added the mud guards today which they nicely sit inside to avoid rock/road debris from hitting the side panels of the 4Runner. Overall, I couldn't be happier. Had the work done today at Discount Tire in San Diego on Mission Jorge Dr (top notch service). TPMS would fit the rim so they had to use banding straps which were a breeze and super cheap to install (better then replacing them with aftermarket) and there were no errors on the ECU either.

This is a controversial topic on which 20" fit LTD's and what width/height so I took a lot of pics.

I don't plan on wheeling it, I have a 1979 CJ5 in the garage for that, and I do 100% highway driving and my mpg sucks as is at 17mpg average hence a street rim/tire combo.

Ya I typically go for off-road aggressive wheels/tires but my 4Runner isn't gonna be a trail rig and I wanted something more sensible for all the hwy driving I do. I've put 30k on my T4R in 23 months. Heavier wheels/tires would have killed any performance and mpg that I have left. I have to TRD CAI and haven't noticed an ounce of gain on performance/mpg so I didn't want to lose anymore.

UPDATE: Tire/Wheel combo are doing great and more importantly, wife loves the handling difference and the stability.

Looks sharp, I'm trying to decide which way to go offroad look or urban look. How's the weight difference from OEM wheels and the aftermarket set.
