New Shoes!!

**update** after about 1200 miles everything is working in quite nicely. City mpg is 17.6 and highway is 19.0, but I'd its windy it drops significantly. Seems the computer had to adapt to the new setup. Like others have mentioned, it's slightly noisier and there is a minor hum, but I just turn up the radio. Oh, and I'm runnin at 50psi. Yeah the mileage took a bit of a hit, but the way it handles now more than makes up for it. It's nice being able to take corners without the fear of tipping over :-) and I've recieved quite a few compliments from random people, and a few jealous glares from stock jeep owners ;-) thanks again to everyone on the forum for your assistance. Up next, stereo mod, maybe a suspension tweak, and cup holders in the bumper.

Fuel Boost 18x9 with -12 offset. 275/65/18 Duratracs. STOCK suspension. To me the stance is perfect considering I live in Fl and were somewhat wanting for terrain that really warrants a lift. Rubbing was very minimal (only at the locks) and remedied through the fender liner mod posted on here. Used a heat gun to fix the microscopic rubbing in the back of the arch.

Driving impressions: Massive improvement over stock setup. Ride has stiffened up enough to still feel comfortable yet responsive. Road noise is by far the best i've ever heard from a tire like this. We'll see what happens as far as gas mileage goes. was getting 21 in the city on stock, expecting to get 18ish now... Oh well, worth the sacrifice IMO!!

Enjoy, and thanks to everyone on the board for all the helpful information.

nice

had to start another thread, right?
well deserved.

i like how the machined surface goes with the silver. wonder how those would look on a salsa red!

My lowly steelie spare sits in anticipation that it's actually going to be used. Fact isnid rather put it on a flatbed than use it!ol. I was getting 21 city with tires inflated to 44 and keeping the revs below 3k. Other drivers hated me, but I didn't care, I'm bigger and physics work in my favor.

Ill admit, it was a bit... darty, but it was still in specs. Even when i was running at 40PSI it got 20 in the city. Again, on the stock $shizzy tires though.

21 city? you must be most conservative driver ever!I WS GETTING 17 ON STOCK TIRES, TERRA GRAPPLERS INSTALLED 2 TANK AGO, GETTING HIGH 18 AND I DRIVE LIKE 90 Y/O

I only live 4 mi from work and have 3 stop lights. not a lot of stop and go. Mileage has as much to do with driving environment as it does style and setup. anywhere else id be in the teens... like i will be with this current setup.

when you say "rubbing at full lock" does that mean, when you turn the wheel all the way one direction that you feel or notice the tires rubbing somewhere in the wheel well?
