**update** after about 1200 miles everything is working in quite nicely. City mpg is 17.6 and highway is 19.0, but I'd its windy it drops significantly. Seems the computer had to adapt to the new setup. Like others have mentioned, it's slightly noisier and there is a minor hum, but I just turn up the radio. Oh, and I'm runnin at 50psi. Yeah the mileage took a bit of a hit, but the way it handles now more than makes up for it. It's nice being able to take corners without the fear of tipping over
and I've recieved quite a few compliments from random people, and a few jealous glares from stock jeep owners ;-) thanks again to everyone on the forum for your assistance. Up next, stereo mod, maybe a suspension tweak, and cup holders in the bumper.
Fuel Boost 18x9 with -12 offset. 275/65/18 Duratracs. STOCK suspension. To me the stance is perfect considering I live in Fl and were somewhat wanting for terrain that really warrants a lift. Rubbing was very minimal (only at the locks) and remedied through the fender liner mod posted on here. Used a heat gun to fix the microscopic rubbing in the back of the arch.
Driving impressions: Massive improvement over stock setup. Ride has stiffened up enough to still feel comfortable yet responsive. Road noise is by far the best i've ever heard from a tire like this. We'll see what happens as far as gas mileage goes. was getting 21 in the city on stock, expecting to get 18ish now... Oh well, worth the sacrifice IMO!!
Enjoy, and thanks to everyone on the board for all the helpful information.
