New Sonoran Steel Product: KDSS High Articulation/Long Travel Trac/PanHard bar

Going to try to install mine today or tomorrow. Weather has been bad recently so wasn't able to do it sooner. 4Wheeling this weekend.

You can just get the bar now and get the full movement out of the Toytec shocks you already have. If someday you want the additional 1.25" more droop, you can get the Radflo shocks.

The bar is one of the easier things to install and there are directions. It bolts on.

Can you please give an absolute value? What is the extended length of these custom Radflo?

Also, am I understanding correct that this bar is not needed for non-KDSS 4Runners?

That is the problem. You can't compare company to company because they all measure from a different point on the stud end. So the best way I have found is to use a benchmark shock. The Bilstein 5100, 33-187174. This shock has the same compressed value as stock and is 1" longer extended. The Radflo is 1.25" more extended than the Bilstein but still retains the stock compressed length. You could also say the custom Radflo is 2.25" longer extended than the stock shock and maintains the same compressed length as the stock shock.

This bar is ONLY for KDSS 4Runners.

Got mine installed. The trac-bar itself was fairly easy. Cutting off that piece of metal on the driver side will require a saw which fortunately I had one with a metal cutting blade.

My biggest problem was putting the wheels back on. Ended up tilting over when using the high lift jack on one side and denting my door with the top of my high lift jack. Took me a while to get it off the ground. I had to go back and forth jacking up one side a little, lifting the jack stands, then going to the other side, wash rinse repeat. My recommendation would be to have two high lift jacks and 2 people lifting both sides at the same time. Use a really good hydraulic lift on the diff too, mine was too cheap.

Also, if you have a 3 inch lift, the stock jack is just about worthless. I hadn't had a flat yet so I never needed a jack. I guess I'll have to figure out a way to carry the jack around all the time. I don't have a rear steel bumper. Not sure what other people do that don't have a rear steel bumper.

Lessons learned (I guess my 4Runner is officially not new because of the dents), but the trac-bar is definitely recommended. I had to lift the vehicle up further to get the wheels back on because of the additional articulation. That in itself made putting the wheels back on more difficult.

Stock jack works fine when you put it under the axle or a-arm for a flat.

Yes the KDSS bar is adjustable. There are a TON of these up in the bay area, it should not be hard finding someone with one.

Also just an FYI, Our Vendor Status expires April 23, 2019 and we are not going to re-new it here. We have received so many sales and leads from Instagram, that is where we now put our efforts. If you are interested in the product contact us directly.

Sorry to see you go. I found out about and bought your KDSS Trac-bar from this forum. Don't use Instagram nor Facebook. Whatever you post on Facebook certainly isn't private even if you have it set that way.

Not going to leave the forum per say, but not going to be an official vendor anymore. We never really did anything with it anyway.

I agree with sactown. Would not of heard of your product for it not here on this forum. Now I want to go and jack my rear end around and see this bar hitting my KDSS link. Never knew this was happening.

Ordered

Ordered myself this new bar. Additionally, I'm going to pair it with the Panhard correction kit that has been all over this forum to correct the rear end geometry as well as provide clearance with this bar. Attached is a picture I took yesterday. This is the Panhard bar contacting the KDSS sway bar system. This is even with the icon adjustable Panhard bar with the 5 degree bend in it that is supposed to "prevent" this ???? from happening. You can see it still contacts. Should arrive soon.

For those who posted above as well using the C4 differential skid for KDSS vehicles. I'll find out soon if these are compatible. I have the differential skid plate on right now. The rear of the differential sticks out further than this skid so I'm pretty sure it should clear without issues.

Cool, let us know as I too would like to get the diff skid plate.

Also, Instragram (A Failbook company) was hacked recently. 15 million user ID and password stolen. If you have it you better change your password immediately.

Still have 1" or so of upward compression. Would have needed to lift the front left at the same time to get that.

Is there any travel left in the driver rear? Or is this maxed out? Curious if, while not possible in a forklift scenario, in a trail scenario the driver rear would be able to droop another inch or so before hitting the passenger bumpstop?

Hell yeah! Please post back with how it goes :pray2: I had posted about the C4 diff skid and also plan on getting the Panhard correction kit as well to go with it, same as you. I am very curious if all 3 will fit/fully clear together.

You CAN NOT use this part with the Panhard correction kit, if you do it will be a colossal disaster. No joke.

If you are really going to do this, contact me and cancel your order, it will not work. Once again, no joke.

I have not installed the Panhard correction kit onto my vehicle yet. I think I would rather have the added clearance from this Panhard bar vs. correcting the geometry with the Panhard correction kit. Is there a reason you know this will not work? I won't go forward with the correction kit if you feel this strongly. Thanks for the warning.
