Just picked up my gear, good start I'd say! Putting it all in this coming monday and can hardly wait! I'll post picks after.

King coilovers and rear shocks with compression adjusters, Icon uca's and rear springs.

So shiney! Ok hurry up and put them on! I'm going to put mine on this weekend and I need a guinea pig to figure out the problems!

That looks really nice, congrats.

I need to so something with my SR5 suspension and the kings are high on my list. Trying to find examples in my area to drive but no luck yet.
 
Can you take a photo of the tags? I'm curious if it lists the Valving specs. What coil rate did you go with?

I'll take pics when I get home from work! As far as the coil rate not sure I'll see if the spring has it stamped. The tags I believe do mention FJ, Tacoma and 4 runner. When I called king on info they told me they use 600 springs but I know there has been a debate on that here and will confirm this tonight.
 
Thanks guys but King offered to install everything for me as a Guinea pig in order to update their product part numbers and the soonest was this monday. Trust me I'm very anxious my self and can't wait!
 
Cool, thanks. The FJ's use 550's as standard as that is what I had on mine and now in the 4R. I'll have to rethink all of this once the 14' Shrockworks bumper becomes available.

Any body have a general idea of what sort of stance I can expect from this package and should I crank the coilovers a bit to get a more level stance?
 
The icon 2" rear springs will definitely give you a rake. Unfortunately king doesn't recommend adjusting the C/O's enough to compensate for the icons.
Now with that being said, it's an adjustable coilover, so it can be done but I think you'll lose the plushness king is known for.
I didn't like the stiffness from having to raise them to match the rear so I eventually went with a custom CSS 1" coil. So far I'm happy

Right on thanks for responding, can I maybe compensate via the compression adjusters should I decide to adjust the kings to a recommended level?
 
I ride with my compression adjusters all the way soft and bump them up depending on what terrain I'm on. I think a good starting point is to just install them the way they are, let them settle and then determine what you want to do.
Now all that is being said with the assumption that you have the ability to remove and install them yourself for adjustments. The kings can, but are a pain in the ass, to adjust on the vehicle and can't be done without slightly scarring the anodizing.
 
I think you ordered the wrong suspension. I will be glad to take the set off your hands for a very discounted price. You can keep the UCAs they look right.

Nice choice on the upgrade!

Do report back on the ride.

Makes me want to get my suspension rebuilt soon.
