new tires rubbing, need your help

well i have the 285/75-16 bfg muds. problem is they barely rub on the upper A-arm in a tight turn. so my question is do i get wheel spacers? if so, which ones.

i want to go wheeling this weekend and i fear airing down since the tires will most likely really rub then?

sorry, "search" had nothing.

thanks.

That's cool and all but that has no relevance to his issue... why even post? Why am I posting?

I'm bored.

Well when I switched to that sized tire my local tire guy said that I may need a shim betweet the wheel and the hub. They are about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Lucily I had high offset wheels and didn't need this. But you should go to a local tire place and check it. They are like 10 bucks. And by local I mean not americas tires or something. Maybe an offraod shop if possible because they really know their stuff

OH REALLY!!! I WANNA FIGHT TOOOO!!!!!!

If it is rubbing the upper A-arm your only bet is either to get some 1/2" spacers which put more strain on the suspension geometry or to shave or get shaved upper A-arms.

I guess you could get new wheels also.
