I'm over in the N.Ft Worth /Keller area.
We'll have to meet up sometime.I'm a mechanic so if you need any work done.I work for beer!

There is also a group, DFW-TX4WD, where most of the members are from N. FTW, Saginaw, Keller, etc... Problem is that most of them drive Jeeps, but we are gradually getting some quality vehicles in the group, Toyotas that is. We are going out to Bridgeport on Sunday, April 18 if you would like to join us. Knowing a mechanic can be good.

Heck ya! There are QUITE a few clubs in the area. FWD-FWD, Torc4x4, and LSJC (a jeep club but still pretty open) just to name a few.

LOL! Cool, I do most of the bolt on's (lift, sliders, bumpers) and electrical (lights, wenches myself, but I do need to replace a steering pump on my Tacoma soon... :naughty:

BTW if you want to get out and meet some fellow toyota enthusiasts around the DFW area visit Toyotatrailriders.com. We are having a meeting tomorrow night at Pappa's BBQ in Dallas with the Lone Star Land Cruisers to show off all our 4x4 Toyota's and talk about our upcoming wheeling trips. I will either be in the Runner or a 1978 right hand drive FJ40, which ever I feel up to driving tomorrow night.

Well this is a family friendly group so feel free to bring your kids along, but if not, I understand - there will be more trail rides coming up. We try to schedule one at least once a month somewhere in the area. Hope to see and meet you soon.

I have to say that finding a 4x4 here in TX is a pain...you wouldn't think so ..But I am coming to the conclusion that instead of 4x2 being an option...4x4 is an option here in TX...ahhhhh so anoying

I had to get mine from Tyler, TX. San Antonio area dealers didn't have any 4x4s - didn't even know what a Trail Edition was when I came in asking for one

I Live in CS/Bryan Area, and I am currently waiting on a an SR5 4x4 with Th (third row seat option)....i am not sure when its going to come (haven't gotten the awaited call frmo my dealer) but I have been waiting since January.......Its taking its time that's for sure!

I tried that on an FJ Cruiser when they first came out and Toyota of Richardson sold it out from underneath me! :wtf:

Ok so after 1000 miles on this thing, I finally figured out how to reset the MPG calculator thingy ma-bob (I know I am slow). Reset it last night and drove 30 min across Dallas in traffic and highway speeds and averaged 25 MPG. Wow is all I can say.
