I just thought I'd stop by and introduce myself since I'm probably going to be asking a lot of questions on here. I'm usually an international guy ,owned over 12 scouts, but had to sell my last one. I was looking around on Craigslist to find a vehicle to replace my Scout and after 5 or 6 vehicles fell through I finally set up a meeting to meet a guy about a 1995 4 runner 4x4 sr5 w/200k. Initially i had skipped this guy do to him saying it had a uncurable miss and no cat. Same day i was going to meet him i was perusing the local wrench a part when i just happened to find a scrapped 4runner with a 4inch bracket lift with rear coils. Kinda made up my mind right there about buying the guys truck. Took a look at the truck and definitely had abad miss. Guy just had ashop put on a brand new head and gaskets plus new brakes , cap, rotor, plugs ,wires drivers ball joints, timing belt , water pump and new front tires. Ibought it w/o really inspecting it as we were in a downpour, limped it home and found that it just had a loose plug wire. Oh and the cat WAS on it. Runs pretty good for $650. Picked up the lift for about 150 from the junk yard. Any idea who made it. Wasnt able to go back and pull the dick cepeck shocks.before they crushed it. Pics attached
