Newly installed - E7007 - Please load Map DVD

I just received and installed a E7007 in my 2008 4runner limited,
turn the contact on , and I get a "Please insert map DVD"

I click the "load" button, the faceplate opens up and I try to insert the DVD in the "DVD" slot.

Then the unit doesn't even try to load the DVD. Nothing happens.
I can fit the DVD about 1/3 in, and then nothing, I am expecting the Unit to start loading the disc like in a macbook laptop for example.

How do I do to get the map DVD loaded?

well it looks like there is a DVD inside the slot already, but it doesn't look like a Navigation DVD, but now I need to have the software loaded to eject the DVD, but I can't unless I have a valid DVD in there....

looks like a chicken and the egg problem....

Anyone knows how to eject a DVD Navigation when the unit doesn't have any software loaded?

well, I removed the other DVD that was in there, a home made one, and still it won't load any other DVD in there.

It looks like the Slot loading DVD drive is not active at all.

I haven't connected the VSS/reverse wire yet, but I think it should work without it -

isn't it?
