We need a north of DFW group too. ...but the wife and I make it to Austin a few times a year and it would be awesome to see some unbeaten paths around there as well.

I hang out with a group of Austin offroaders whenever I get the chance. We are doing a run this weekend at Hidden Falls. Will be camping at Area 51. Swing by if you are free.

I don't off-road myself, but my son has spent a LOT of time out at Hidden Falls with the local Jeep group. I drove out there once to take him some replacement parts (his Cherokee has lots of these) when they were having a fund-raising weekend for Wounded Warrior and there were hundreds of off-road vehicles of every type. The area itself is huge and you're sure to find something to interest you.

Yea its not to bad...only issue u will encounter is the rocks will give way and u will slide a bit but should be ok for a non lifted 4WD

Im up in north Dallas and just picked up a 2006 4Runner 4x4 sport edition. A friend (LX450) and I will be driving down to Marble Falls and Hamilton pool the weekend of September 20th(probably driving down Friday night). We'll be joining my brother in his FJ and a few of his buddies. Anyone is welcome to join the caravan or meet us down there. Cant wait!

Was in Austin last week for some training out at Camp Mabry. Found this area along 2244 and 360...

If anyone else is curious, after about 15 minutes, I pinpointed where this guy was when he took this photo. I may go check it out.

Thought I'd go ahead and revive this. I just got my first t4r. I was thinking about heading to hidden falls today. I'm concerned though because I done have any lift or armor yet and don't want to waste my time.

I went once with my lifted and locked wrangler and could do all the trails but i wasn't worried about damage.

Same. Just got my T4R. My buddy with a Cherokee wanted to head up on Thursday but bailed. Would live to get up there and do some light trails. [email protected] if anyone is game.
