Nightshades prep help!

I'll post pics soon! But I did the cut nightshades on my brakes.. A thick coat then a clearcoat. But before that I sanded thE lights.. What I'm wondering is how do I get rid of the 'scratchy' look and feel from the sandpaper on the lights ! Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't have used sandpaper it is to abrasive a 3M scuff pad works the best and doesn't leave scratches.
