Nitto Ridge Grappler?

Less than a 100 miles since install, so too early to tell.
Did not rub before spacers. After spacers, rubs in reverse only when at full lock on the front. Will need to move the fender forward or just perhaps trim some of the front bumper lower edge.

Hoping someone can give me a gut check. Got Town Fair Tire to match the price and 10% rebate Discount Tire was running yesterday on some 285/70/17 C rated yesterday. They ordered the tires and they will be here Wednesday.
I am worried I am going to rub. Truck is lifted with Bilstein 5100s at the second highest setting (I think thats 1.75") and Cornfed 1" spacer in the rear.
I have spidertrax on order but they won't be here til Friday. Maybe I just change my install to Saturday so I can put the spacers on ahead of time? That way everything is on during the alignment?

I have the Ridge Grapplers in 285/70/17 and love them. No rubbing at all, at first, After some wheeling I did get some rubbing on the front left tire when turning to the left in reverse. This went away after an alignment and having the caster set more forward. No issues since. Adding spidertrax will likely insure the rubbing, or make it worse.
I see you are running aftermarket wheels. You may be fine because of different offset/backspacing?
The spidertrax are also partially for looks, and I am aware of having to do the fender liner mod. Hoping I don't need to do a BMC.

For the record if anyone is wondering. Tires fit no problem without spacers!
A little bit of rubbing at full lock when turning left, usually only on a incline or something. But I haven't even done the fender liner mod yet.

I got the same size but I rub both left and right reverse turns. I plan to push them forward today [emoji1787]

Do you have a lift on your 4runner. I ask because I’m planning on buying the same size and tire. I just wanted to see how they look on a stock suspension

Mild lift below is the suspension I put together with help from Mike at Dobinson's...
After everything settled it is almost 1" lift all around, still maintains slight factory rake and does not require upper or lower control arms. The suspension really tightened up the truck and reduced brake dive and squat when loaded or hooked up to a trailer. I highly recommend...

This EXACTLY is the reason I ditched mine within 30 days.
They were plain AWFUL in the snow. I saw a video on YouTube where a runner couldn’t even climb a small snow covered hill and was like, these tires are great!
Hell no. If you drive on snow, do not buy these. They’re great in a lot of respects but I’m glad someone else shared a similar experience as me.

They aren't terrrrrrible... however they aren't amazing either. I haven't had an issue with them here in Colorado but I also haven't really gone snow wheeling yet with them either.

My snow experience was just on the road. Before that experience, I rode on KO2s and Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws and, driving the same way with the RGs as with the above mentioned tires, had the single scariest moments in my Runner ever. With my family on board, that sealed the RG’s fate and they were gone.
I know they’re not snowflake rated but still...They were new and they absolutely let me down. It’s too bad because they rode quietly, did amazing off road and seemed like an overall good tire but I demand better performance in the snow than these are willing to offer. Just my two cents.

depends on what you are looking for. Wildpeaks seem to be pretty popular and get good reviews. Stt pros have a pretty big following. A lot of people are happy with the Km3. I have milestars ok my first gen and have considered trying them on my 5th. But still with ridge grapplers so far

Looks like [MENTION=117117]Seattle206[/MENTION] had the same experience as you in the snow with the Nitto RG's. So far what I've heard is that they suck in rain, suck in the snow so essentially they're only good on dry pavement and dry desert roads.
