Was at the dealer today to get my tires rotated (free) and get the parking brake adjusted and they told me they couldn't adjust the parking brake because the rear brakes were worn out (original at 118,900 miles).

Looking to tackle this job myself. Any recommendations on rear brakes? Should I stick with OEM or what other better options? Probably will do it within the next month or so.

After much debate, I blacked out the headlights. Had an idea what they would look like after seeing pictures [MENTION=65573]stanleybb50[/MENTION] posted of his Nautical Blue 4Runner with the headlights blacked out, and I thought it looked great!

Nicely done! Did you find it difficult? Half way through mine, I was like "wtf did I get myself into here"... Lol

And for a couple days after I had "mod regret" - but ever since then, it's been one of my favorite mods and I can't imagine the t4r any other way.

Not too bad, it was a spur of the moment mod because I was bored so it gave me something to do. Took about 3 hours including eating lunch/waiting for the paint to dry.

I tinted my fog lights but its too dark for good pictures. I have one that I can post later when I get back to the computer.

Tinted the fog lights with Rustoleum Tint Spray. Got too dark to take any decent pictures and since this side was on, I snapped a couple quick pictures. One is with lights off and the other is lights on. I like it, I could always get tint film down the road but this seems to do the job. Light output is affected the way I wanted actually, less glare from the fog lights!

Yeah I painted the turn signal reflectors and parking light reflectors also. The light output doesn't seem to have been affected by doing this, probably because the bulbs for the turn signals are huge.

Yeah I'll get some pics later, I'm sure it was affected a bit but they're still extremely visible and bright. I don't have DRLs so that's not an issue either.

I put the hazard lights on last night and tried to get a picture of it fully lit up, I was using my phone camera so mind the quality. But they're still bright and they still light up signs down the road.

Productive day today. Got my gauges back from [MENTION=63211]emelianenkov[/MENTION] who fixed them for me after I messed some stuff up. They're all done and I'm very pleased with the results! He did a great job! One picture is blurry but shows the turn signals, the other is less blurry:

Also, I installed new HID bulbs in my low beams. 5000k Morimoto 3five H11s. HUGE improvement over the 6000k DDMs I had in there before:

I got the same bulbs for the fog lights also but I am doing something with them a little later.

...and last but not least, I placed an order for a set of White Knuckle Off Road rock sliders! Very exited to get them in 2-3 weeks.

Extended the rear diff breather today.

Put it in the gas cap like many others.

Couldn't believe how bad the old breather looked...

Of course, had to make sure I left enough slack in the line, with a flex test

So far so good.

Also, sliders shipped today and I should have them Monday! Hopefully painted and installed by Tuesday depending on weather.:bravo:

White Knuckle Off Road Sliders arrived two days ago and I installed them yesterday. Installation was pretty simple, I installed them by myself with a floor jack. Overall I'm happy with the experience. They were at my door 3 weeks after placing the order and I'm very pleased with the fitment, quality, and protection. I have yet to test them out in the rocks, but the whole rocker panel appears to be well protected now without sacrificing ground clearance.

These are the only pics I have right now, but I plan on taking better ones when I get the chance.

Looks great ! I'm thinking of these as well. How solid do they feel when installed, they are bolt-ons right ?

If you have a chance, would like to see pics of how they mount, especially the drivers side with the gas tank in there, etc.

They feel VERY solid! They don't budge at all, yes bolt on utilizing 3 U bolts per side.

I do plan to get better pics, probably this weekend.

I love kick-out sliders, and I've been looking for a nice set of bolt ons for a while. How much further do you think they stick out compared to the stock running boards?

Thanks guys. As for how they compare to the running boards, they probably stick out a bit further. Not much though, and they're definitely up higher. They definitely can be used as a step to get in for whoever needs it, and the kickout is in the perfect spot to be used as a step into the back seat. I'm gonna aim to get some good pictures tomorrow, hopefully the weather cooperates.

I have some more pics I can post up with the sliders on. I also got a chance to jack up the truck today using them as a jacking point, no problems, very sturdy!

This is the mounting point by the gas tank as requested:
