You can characterize it anyway you want and no I do not think a "Union Organization" would fire someone for crap work if this discussion has to take a political tone. I , as a consumer, make a conscious decision to exercise MY purchasing power to avoid such half assed shoddy wormanship which is why I don't buy Jeeps anymore or any other vehicle built in this manner.
I buy 4runners for a reason and the VIN starting with a "J" is that reason.
I respect good work done by good workers done in a professional manner, do you really think this is the first time I heard of a "Port Story" it just seems to have gotten worse.
Back in the day, "options" were clearly designated as "port installed" so I as the consumer could make the decision as to whether the risk was worth the reward and whether I was going to spend my money or not.
So, with all do respect I will characterize the behavior based on my experience - I have met 1 or 2 individuals I would consider true professionals and masters of their craft (Mechanics) the rest (many) leave much to be desired.
So, the next time someone refers to a "Stealership" or says something less than flattering about a Sales Person - I will expect to see an equal voicing of outrage.
Otherwise, as civil discourse goes - agree to disagree.
