No power to rear lift gate

As topic states. My wife told me the rear wiper and defrost no longer work. The button isn't lit on the dash. It's under warranty, has to go in next week anyhow for an oil change. But if it's something simple I'd rather just knock it out, thanks

If there's one thing I'd change about that window it'd be to have a separate lock for it. My dog occasionally steps on the switch and rolls it down a bit without me noticing right away.

Amen. They roll it down about 1/2" every time, resulting in about 5lb per second of dust being sucked into the vehicle.

Off topic, but I cannot imagine letting my dogs have free range inside my vehicles. Must be a mess. Claws on plastic. Noses on glass. Hair and dirt. What am I missing?

The love and companionship of a dog. Hair can be vacuumed. Scratches can be fixed. Windows can be cleaned. In the greater scheme of things the vehicle is just a temporary, inanimate method of transportation to be replaced in a few years. The bond and memories of a dog will last forever.

My dog is a non-shedding breed so there's that base covered. One of the reasons I bought a TE was the water resistant seats that are easy to clean. I think I get much more dirt and dust in the truck from off roading with the windows open than he could ever bring in himself too. My truck is used and used hard, not a showpiece, so I'm not too concerned about nose prints on the windows and paw prints on the seats. Plus I'd rather have the dog in the passenger seat than a lot of people I know. He never complains about my choice of music, isn't a backseat driver, and is often a better conversationalist.

On my last car my dog: ripped the driver's side door panel with his claw, scratched every piece of wood trim that was within paw range, slobbered so far down the window sill that I didn't even bother trying to clean it out, left his fur in ever single crevice imaginable with no chance in vacuuming it all out.

And do you know what all that damage meant me when I traded it in? Not a damn thing, lol.

Guess what, he's still roaming around in the 4runner and opening my tailgate window at the worst time too :tape:

I have a dog who knows how to search: It's part coon hound! Seriously I take my dog to SC all the time. It's a lazy dog and sleeps in the back seat on a blanket. It pretty much stays there but does roam a bit every now and then.

I love dogs, grew up with an Irish setter, husky, german shepherd, and American Eskimo. Once my 15 month old gets to be older I'll get her a pup to travel around with us.

My first two dogs were Irish Setters. Great dogs but holy crap do they ever shed. If you put on a pair of white socks they'd be red before you walked out the front door.

Yes she was my favorite dog (Irish) stubborn, but loyal. Slept at the end of my bed every night during my childhood.

3 Beagles here.

One of my Beagles (Eddie) howls at everything living within eyesight. Everything.
When this happens, the old guy (Chuck) starts barking (not a howler) and won't stop.
The middle guy (Floyd) thinks this is a great, fun game and starts playfully attacking the other two. The noise rivals anything you have ever heard in your life.

My dogs are nuts. I love them.

They DO NOT get in my 4Runner- ever. That's what minivans are for. :closed_2:
