I dont think most car dealers would use aftermarket parts on a repair. Their repairs are warranted nationwide at all dealers and this would be problematic. My dealer I worked for had aftermarket parts on the shelf but only to sell to other shops. We did use cheaper bulk no name oil though. Im not against aftermarket parts. When I left the dealer I worked on a couple cars a week for 5 years and used parts from Advance Auto Parts etc. I cant recall any failures.
