Non-scheduled oil changes?

Why are Toyota Service departments so hesitant to perform unscheduled oil changes? I know my driving habits so I decide when or when not to get it done. I've told them that I would pay for it also. I've put 5000 hard driven miles in less than two months. I want it changed without hesitation or some service "advisor" trying to talk me out of it.

I have not tried this yet on the T4R but on my VW TDI I pull an oil sample at 5K and send it off to Blackstone for analysis. If it looks like it is holding up I continue on until the 10K service interval (every sample has looked good so far). I too have difficulty waiting until the scheduled service but this makes me feel a little more content with the schedule getting the third party analysis.

Funny, I just threw away a blitz oil pan that looks like the one posted.

Complete POS, the top screw-on lid leaked like mad. It would screw on and seem tight but then as soon as the pan was moved it spilled everywhere. :toilet:

Yeah, overall I have found the toyota service department(s) have poor customer service and can be adversarial. :argue:
