Non starter

My friend has a problem, while driving down to spain 4 wks ago in his 93 4 runner diesel import he blew his rad and also warped the heads,The car was took to a toyota main dealer in Spain who repaired it and fitted a new rad and a new head.Now the problem is the car won,t now start its still at the garage in spain with the mechanics (spanish) and they can,t get it running.Sorry to be a bit vague but i,m not that mechanicly minded and my friend doesn,t have the internet.
1st.. no the car doesn,t have an immobilser
2nd..its baffled the mecanics for a week..
3rd.. its not often they see import 4 runners.
anyone have any ideas?the car was driven into the workshop from the carpark to be repaired so it ran before they got there hands on it..........

Get them to check the following;
Is it cranking at all?
When turning the key does power come on?

1) Check the batteries of course.


2) Check all wires at the starter, get them to remove the starter. It is possible the soleniod is stuck, cracked or the pinion is broken off in which case it may have to be replaced.

3) Check the distributor igniton coil and the ignition switch itself

Until I get more info I cant be more helpful than that.
