No, just dropped it in. Basically how they installed them from the factory. Maybe in awhile I'll get the 7th and smaller pulley, but it runs beautifully right now.

Those exposed bolt heads would make me nervous wheeling up here on the rocky terrain. My Savage skids use a combination of smooth head carriage bolts and welded on collars around the bolt heads, and I've got visible scrapes on them showing they worked. I still managed to bend the grade 8 bolts once already though.

Just read through this build and it is pretty sick. I'm from Kentucky myself, about an hour out of Louisville and it is awesome to see someone else from Kentucky on here. It seems so many people on here are from out west. But anyways was wondering if you had pics of your brothers 4runner. I'm looking to do a lift with new wheels and tires and would like to see how the trd pro wheels look with the KO2's. Thanks.

Decided to do a little spur of the moment camping trip. My fiancé and I have been planning to go camping but we weren't sure because of the potential thunderstorms when we were going to go. Ended up taking a 30 minute drive out to our local memorial forest and visit their camp ground (which we've never camped there before). Campgrounds are very nice and secluded from one another.
Got their Saturday afternoon, got the tent setup and everything situated. Ended up cooking dinner (homemade Cuban sandwiches) and then the weather started to hit. Thunderstorms for a solid 2 hours at 8pm. We both ended up dozing off until 4am when another small storm rolled through for about 20 minutes.
We were super impressed with the tent setup. Everything was dry on the inside and it seals up really well around the truck. The pups usually ended up sleeping in the back of the truck while we slept on the air mattress in the tent. We had planned it the other way around but whatever haha.
Cooked breakfast Sunday morning (goetta for anyone who knows what that is haha). Then went and did some hiking for about an hour or so.
It was my fiancé first time camping and she said she had a great time and already wants to plan another trip. I was pleasantly surprised seeing as it rained the entire time.
The Cuban sandwiches on the vintage Coleman stove top. Works beautifully.
The Goetta for breakfast. Some seriously good stuff for anyone that knows what it is haha.

Yeah that little wiener dog is one of my fiancé friends dog that we babysat last week. They're all best friends haha.
The tent is amazing. Shit, for under $300, it performs great and plenty of room.

Did some deep cleaning to the inside of the truck. Been wanting to do it for some time now, mainly the seats. Ran to Home Depot and rented a rug doctor. For $30 and some carpet cleaner, it turned out great. Definitely much needed.

That headrest was on of the back headrests haha. They stay tucked in the back seat pockets because the seats are laid down for the pups all of the time. Never noticed it until I took them out today.
I have the weather tech mats for the front carpets, definitely a great purchase.

With the fiancé away at her bachelorette party. I had to chance to get a relaxing day/weekend to do some man shit haha.
Met up with a few buddies and took a trip down to Daniel Boone backcountry byway.
Mark, the SAS 3rd gen, came with us. Phenomenal build and first time seeing a SAS swap in person. Good lord is it a monster. He breezed through these trails like it was nothing.

Stopped at a huge cave. Amazing how cool it was inside there. Saw a boat load of bats in there.

All in all...had a great time and everyone made it back in one piece. CV's started to make some noise at the end of the day, which was to be expected. They've been leaking since I installed the lift, just been to lazy to replace them. Now, they've got to be replaced. Should be taking care of that this week.

Do you have many times on trails like that you wish you had a locker, or is it really pretty fine being open diffs? Do you use the TRAC system?

Honestly, haven't gotten into anything crazy where I wished a had lockers. I lock the center diff, which is better than nothing, which disables the trac system. Nothing worse than getting momentum just for the trac system to kill it haha.
I'm waiting for the day that I find myself actually having the desire for lockers.

Been awhile, but I'm back and a married man at that.
Enjoyed our time for a couple weeks in Greece for our honeymoon. Stayed in Athens for 3 days, saw the Parthenon, Temple of Zeus, explored the city, and enjoyed some real gyros. Here's a couple, of many, pictures in Athens. Super cool to see the age of the city and different culture.
Santorini was our time to really relax, which we did. Rented an ATV for 3 days, explored the island, wineries, and picturesque views.
Sea bass was unreal
Had a great time and can't wait to travel some more. Had the time of our lives.
On a side note, truck fired right up after sitting for 2 weeks. Sliders are getting welded together Tuesday, paint, then welding them on the truck. Have to knock out my CV axles too, maybe next weekend. Shouldn't take long at all.
