November Meet

If it turns into a snow run most people usually stick to the easier trails. Some suggestions.

5S15 to 6S13 Rouse ridge Road to Thomas Mtn Road
7S02- Santa Rosa Springs to Toro Peak
Both of above are in the San Jac area

More difficult but still lower moderate
3N61 Jacoby Canyon to 3N16 Northeast Big Bear
Easier
3N16 from Green Valley Lake to Fawnskin

Most of those are green trails but when you had heavy rain or snow it makes them a lot more challenging.. I am still hoping to make the run but not sure if I am traveling that weekend or not

Anyone else have any input on the route?

Hey guys- I maybe down for Sunday. I am camping in Malibu this weekend, maybe back in the OC on Sunday.

Would like to meet up with you guys for the first time.

LMK Details.

Jon

Well just got the word that my travel for this weekend got approved. I will be off in Phoenix area for work.

Looks like Im off Saturday the 19th. I was thinking of doing Pilot Rock to Dishpan Springs or Heartbreak Ridge to John Bull. OR Start from Pilot Rock to John Bull! Anyone else wheeling Saturday? It looks like everyone is free Sunday.

its a flat graded dirt road for the most part. It takes a long time. its really bumpy. and pretty boring IMO

I think he was going more for suggestions on what route to use for the run. Looks like weather is going to be real nice this weekend. I am bummed that I wont make it.

My bad.. :) im going to cougar buttes on saturday if anyone want to smash their junk hit me up.

And my best suggestion for a fun run with little to no chance of damage would probably be gold mountain, or pilot rock.

Lets start with how difficult everyone is looking for?

If we don't figure anything out my plan b is to make the drive up to Afton Canyon, and do some exploring.

Hey sentinel, the last time you guys went to bee canyon did you guys see any shooting areas? I hear there's a good shooting range there. Thanks

Yes there is. As soon as you pretty much enter onto the trail it starts there and goes up. How far up the trail, I'm not quite sure. Pikeman knows he patrols this area.

Like Keemo said, its at the very beginning, there are only four or five spots, but both times I've been by, all were in use. You may want to go early to make sure you get a spot. Also, don't go further up to the plateau and shoot down. According to Pikeman, you'd be shooting down into Indian land and they tend to shoot back.

Just a FYI lyttle creek to coldwater canyon is closed. U can drive up to the shooting range. All of the roads around little creek a basically fire roads that a stock car will make no problem. Wish I could make it tommorow but no luck again!!! Have a Safe trip guys!!

Well...we could make a shooting day out of it. San Bernardino has rain in the forecast for tomorrow in the afternoon. So long as someone has done Cleghorn before, I think we'll be okay.
