Yeah i'd have to agree with the both of you that that's a definite NO lol but you could probably modify that bracket to work with a snorkel by the looks of it. It looks like you might be able to get away with cutting off the bracket that the light is mounted on so it would be out of the way of the snorkel and then just re mount the light in a different position like the actual mount itself or just weld another little tab towards the front to mount the light on. But the bracket itself might be in the way...

Ya, I was thinking about what you said Nyc. Cut off the part that hangs over and move my light over to where I drilled the hole for my Off-road flag. Find a new spot for the flag and Viola! lol. I need a snorkel more than a light really. I have sucked up water and stalled out a couple times now, which isn't good. I am always afraid when I come to any water puddles that I am going to suck it up and ruin my motor. For $70 its worth every penny to me!
I was also thinking of putting a light bar across from ditch light bracket to bracket so that it goes across the windshield but at the bottom instead of above. I would probably get some crazy stupid glare off the hood, but once I bedline the truck it won't be shiny any longer.

Well at least you got options bro, yeah you would def need something on the hood for that glare! For $70 you really can't beat it plus your build coolness level goes up a couple notches:hat:

Picked up a FJ E locker 3rd member with a bad pinion bearing, having it sent to ECGS as we speak to have them re build it along with 4.56 Gears and also having them do the front clamshell to match! Been wanting to re gear for a while in preparation for going up to 35's after my current tires wear down. It will be nice to finally have a locker in the rear also! :lock1:
I originally wanted to to ARB's front and rear but their just so damn expensive all said and done and i've seen and heard a lot have people having great success retro fitting and using the fj e locker. Plus building on budget is more fun because then you get to do all the work yourself and learn while your doing it lol It would be nice to have a locker up front but i think with the re gear and e locker in the rear will be more good considering all the stuff i've been able to do with open differentials and stock gears.
My buddy [MENTION=52096]Absolute[/MENTION]yota is going to do the retro fit with me as he already successfully did his earlier this year and has been happily running and using his E locker all season! He also completely re built his front end this year so that should come in handy when were swapping out the front clamshell haha Now will just have to see when we can get them installed now that winter finally decided to show up on the east coast,so the driveway instal isn't a option anymore. So might have to wait until spring unless i can get a decent garage space to use in CT :moping: Either way i'm stoked can't wait!

Thats exactly the reason i went this route, of course it's a little more work but that i don't mind,plus i'm learning more about my truck in the process.:thumb

Plus saving a few extra dollars by doing the work which is a big help. This way i can put the rest of the money i saved towards a rear bumper finally! I was going back and forth between doing the rear bumper now or gears and a locker but ultimately decided to do this now because i think it's going to be a more beneficial mod for me right now. Plus i didn't want to be that guy out on the trail that's fully armored and has everything thing else under the sun with still running open open diffs. Also i'm still trying to decide if i want to do the DIY 4x4 labs kit or attempt to build my own....

Swapped out my passenger side wheel bearing hub assembly that I purchased from [MENTION=100129]nj636[/MENTION] Super easy install, took about 30 minutes all said and done. I'm going to get the old hub pressed into new bearings to keep as a spare. I Also swapped out my CV axle because it's been weeping worse and worse from the large clamp all the way on the inside. I'm going to have it re packed with grease and re booted to keep in the truck as a spare , over time I've been learning the more spare parts the better!

By the way for those of you guys who wheel and do most of your own work(which is 90% of us on here) i would highly recommend getting one or two of these CV pullers! They work great and make life much easier for swapping out CV's wether on the trail or in the garage. You don't have to worry about taking of your skids or trying to pry it out, just put it around the end, put a little sledge hammer in the loop and pop it out!
They sell them at Southeast Overland and the owner Steve who i've wheeled with before at FJ North easters is a stand up guy and very involved in the 4x4 community and a Toyota enthusiast ( He has the sick built up Blue FJ cruiser with LT in my pictures from the last FJNE run.

NJ636's wheel bearings are getting ordered for both sides this spring. I dont think mine are bad yet, but im sure they don't have long to go. They will make great spares as is. That CV puller tool is awesome and has gone on the wish list. Why didn't I think of something like that first damnit lol.

Yeah great product! I have to do my driver side soon too. Those CV pullers are awesome! I've used them several times and they work great, My buddy uses them in his shop all the time to..

Got a little more work done on the trailer this weekend. Finished up with the fenders on the one side. Skinned them with 16 gauge then painted everything up with Por-15.

You should! After seeing some of my buddies set ups over the last couple of years i knew that's i wanted to do. It takes base camping to a whole new level! It's so much easier when you can have all your camping gear packed up in the trailer and then when you want you can break off and explore and not have to worry about having the 4runner loaded down to the gills. Plus if you build it right you can take the trailer on the trail with you if need be.

Front driver side axle seal is leaking after i swapped out the CV axle a couple of weeks ago:redbrick: So i'll be pulling that again today to replace the seal! I think i'm going to pick up 3 or 4 more seals just to keep in my Trail kit so from now on if in the event i need to swap out a CV i'll just do the seal at the same time! Just a little extra added assurance to avoid this happing again in the future...

Hey Man nice project on the trailer I have been contemplating making on myself.
Do you think that snorkel would fit the V8 I like it. maybe a a little shorter.
