Tremendous! Worked perfectly and looks OEM slick! Also replaced the halogen puddle lights with bright LEDs while I was messing with the mirrors - looks fantastic!

I like that if there isnt a car in your blind spot mirror, the blind spot mirror acts as a extension of the normal mirror (as if the blind spot mirror isnt there). I'm not sure if anyone else noticed that.

I think thats worth its purchase price.

So here are some pictures of the 4runner mirror VS the Rav 4 mirror It feels cheaper than the original and it has strange tabs and an extra hookup. Also the heated element is sideways vs up and down like the poem, which is positive and which is negative, perhaps I got some knockoffs? Help, anyone?

Rav 4 mirror is on right in the first picture. Middle picture is new Rav 4 Mirror, notice all the extra connectors and how the heater connector is sideways vs up and down.

Nothing like being in the middle of an install and finding a surprise such as this. I have not seen any pictures of the back of the mirror so hopefully I have helped someone in the future so that they don't run into the same surprise. If anyone else could post their pictures of the backs if would be greatly appreciated.

looks about right, dont think theres positive/negative. it'll work either way.

you can remove that. its not a connector. lots of mirrors have them, but the 4runner doesn't use them apparently.

You can clip off the extra terminals with a wire cutter or leave them as is. It doesn't matter at all. I left mine as is. Just make sure you aren't clipping the ones the OEM mirror connects to.

Thanks [MENTION=44305]weeeee[/MENTION], talking about these in particular (they did not exist on the stock 4runner mirrors), they are very long and I worry they may interfere, did you guys leave them on or clip them off or bend them? I just wanted to make sure, what a PITA..... Also, as another member mentioned polarity for the heater is a non issue, wire can go on any old way? I hate having stuff apart and then having to hit the forums to get it back together!!!

All depends on driver's preference. I'm glad Rav4 style is not in my 4Runner. I hate small mirrors like in some sedans and especially I hate these "insert" type mirrors. For me they just make an area of the main mirror smaller and I still can't see a sh$$ in those small inserts anyway (the image is to small and has no "continuity" to the main mirror image).

For me, correctly adjusted mirrors are giving no blind spot on either side. As soon as the passing car leaves the rear view mirror I see it in the side mirror until I see it by the side window with peripheral vision. There is one additional benefit to that setup - if some moron is following me with LED or HID bulbs in reflector type headlights I don't get blinded from side mirrors.

I was (and still am for most situations) in agreement with you about "proper" mirror adjustment... But then I went on my first week long, middle of no-where trip.
Not really knowing how much or exactly what I would need, I over packed. I couldn't see shit out of the back of the truck.
So with my old stock mirrors I would be giving up either rear or blind spot views. With the RAV 4s I was able to pull the mirrors in and see behind me while still being able to see my blind spots.
They do take some getting used to, but once you do it's no big deal.
I usually still adjust my mirrors out, but having that extra option paid off.

I have emailed them back to make sure they are exactly the same and will still allow me to keep the heating function. Will update when I get a response.

i just installed those two parts number in my 18 limited today so yep they fit... for what its worth i paid 47.14 us each and shipping to me was 14.70 not too bad

My guess is these are the hookups for a blind spot monitor/warning light that might be on Rav4s and not on 4Runners.

Got my mirrors today and installed them on our 2017, took about 10 minutes. Tools needed my hands and a clean cloth to wipe of the finger prints. I must say they look better than the old ones with the stick on convex mirrors.
