OEM RAV4 Blind Spot Mirror Retrofit

I just spent day driving after installing the Rav4 blindspot mirrors over the weekend. It's pretty awesome, it should have came from the factory this way. Besides seeing the blindspot, I can see if a car that is two lanes over signaling/merging to the adjacent lane.

For those of you that have done the mod, does it show more of the area along the ground next to the wheels or are they angled more out?

I've always set my side mirrors to be angled out to see as much around me as possible and used the little blind spot stick-on mirrors to show the side of my truck and the ground around the wheels.

They're up higher, they show more out to the side to the lane next to you, not so much on the ground

Given this thread is a bit old....does anyone know if the RAV4 mirrors still fit the 2017+ T4R’s? I’ve got a 2017 and would like to do this mod. Any help is appreciated.

Yes they will fit. Mirrors have not changed since 2014

Missing Metal Clips

I just did this swap. However, the original passenger side mirror was missing the two clips (pointing at it in the picture; left is new rav4 and right was original). Did ya'll have it when you replaced it? Just curious.

I removed them. There is a nub on the clips that is pushes in and it come out.

I meant that should it have came with those clips from Toyota. They were missing. If it was missing, now I'm wondering what else in my T4R is missing pieces from factory.

It still looks too much like an add on mirror. I wish they made seemless gradual aspherical Mirrors for the 4runner. I have them on my car and they are beyond amazing, zero blind spots in one seamless reflection.
