OEM Trail running boards?

Seems some come with them. Most do not. I am kicking around the idea of throwing some on to give it a more completed look. Cheapest I have found so far was $300. Good price? Any TEs with these please feel free to post pics of your rides. Thank you!

Also please feel free to share your favorite online toyota parts retailer. Thanks.

I'd also be interested in this. Something low profile, in all black. Where did you find the ones for 300? Was that w/shipping charges?

canadian sr5s and trails come with stock running boards. the rocker panels on these two models are also identical to the US TE. what I'd suggest is finding some nice canadian who is willing to part with theirs.

Can't comment on the pricing or availability of running boards, however just wanted to throw my two cents. If you're looking at the "looks" over function, I like the look of sliders against any running board, any day. If you need the step, perhaps even take a look at the nfabs. Plenty of pictures with various sliders that look excellent, however they may be a bit more then you are looking to spend.

Again, nothing against running boards as they serve a purpose, however I don't think looks is one. If I had kids or others that needed help to get in I may think differently.

I got the OEM Running Boards at "employee" cost when I purchased my 2012 TE a year ago. I paid $399 for them...maybe I got hosed, but they were easy to install...took me about 20 min per side.

I like them, they "look" good on the truck IMO.

Here they are, installed.

I have a set of black TE running boards that were on the truck for about 500kms that I am trying to sell.

I'm in Edmonton if anyone is interested in exploring shipping...

Mine came with them.
I don't do any offroading other than the beach to surf fish so they never get in the way. The wife is on the short side so are a help to her.

If you don't need rock sliders, I think nFab steps look good on a Trail, bought mine from 4WheelParts for about $300.

The nfabs always struck me as a great way to chop 3" of ground clearance right off your truck. I have no idea what kind of tubing they're constructed from, but you're definitely going to snag those steps during any kind of off-roading

I have the stock steps on my 2012 trail. I'll sell them to someone local.
