Off Road Light Mounting and Wiring

Hey guys, so I've decided that my '99 Limited needs more light. So I've ordered a set of PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs. But I think I can do even more than that. I want to add a set of PIAA 520 ATP's. I've watched several video tutorials showing how to mount and wire them and it all makes perfect sense, except that none of these videos were specific to the 4Runner, so I was wondering if there's anything I should know that I didn't learn in the Jeep videos. My first concern is that I can't find where the wires should feed through the firewall. Also, I have a question about mounting. I'd really like to avoid getting any kind of light bar if it can be helped, because I feel it wouldn't look as good. I've heard of people drilling holes in the bumper and bolting them on that way. I plan on putting them on top of the bumper so they'd be over the grill. But I have no idea what the inside of the bumper is like and how to remove it. If you open the engine bay and look at the drivers side against the firewall, right above the wheel well there is a black rubber thingy that you can go through the firewall. That is where I route all my electrical stuff, and then I just chalk it up with some silicone afterwards. If you look up under the dash/steering column to the left you'll see where all the wires come out on the inside.

As for mounting, bumper is pretty easy to pull off, there's just some bolts though I can't tell you the specifics. It's really thin material so should be easy as butter to mount to. If you are mounting on the bumper, there is a hole to the drivers side of the radiator that you can easily route wires through that then pop out below the battery, food for thought.

Thank you! That's just the information I was looking for. Where do you think the best place to mount the relay would be? I was thinking of putting it right next to the battery because there's a little opening there but I also think it could fit near the fuse box and switch on the other side of the firewall.

I have my relays and most of my fuses just next to the battery. If you look in the engine bay you have the fusebox behind the battery, I just route everything between the fuse box and fender since then it's kind of hidden; or just wrap the wiring up into a little bundle and just set it next to the battery or that pocket next to the firewall port, I don't really get too fancy with it as long as it's out of the way and won't go anywhere.
