Hey guys. I'm looking to mount two extra fog/off road lights. I have no idea what brand. I'm looking for 2 6 inch lights to mount in front of the grill. I'm looking to spend $200 to $300. The only ones I've looked at is the light force. (Too high)

Thanks for the help. I'd also like to know if that price range is enough to get some good ones?

I'm a big fan of PIAA lights, my 580s are the brightest thing I've seen they're ~7", have 85=135W bulbs, & $230 on eBay. The 520s I have are ~6", also have 85=135W bulbs, & they're about $170-200 on eBay.

You can also look into VisionX lights. I am running some of their 5" 100W tungsten halogen hybrid and they are great.(they are also upgradeable to HID later on). I have a pair of the 4512(euro beam) and a pair of 4510(spot). Vision X is more known for their LED light bars but could only afford the ones I got at the time.

If you go with the PIAA I would suggest their ATP light pattern as everyone that has run them says it works better than the spot beam.

Although I love my Lightforce and the Kragen HIDs are really bright, if you are mounting it directly to the top of the bumper in front of the grill I would go with PIAA 520 ATP's.

What He said ... Without a doubt this is by FAr the best bang for the Buck .. Period. ( these mo fos are bright and reliable)

Remember if you get HIDs for the bumper you can't just switch them on and off the way you can with halogens. So they can mostly only be used off road.

I use my PIAAs to watch for deer on the roadsides and they can be flipped on and off when traffic comes. Doing this with HIDs would lead to premature bulb & ballast burnout. I have cheap HIDs on my roof and they're very bright but I'm leery about using them if I don't know I can leave them on for a while.

Remember that if they're going on a bullbar you'll want to measure to make sure a 7" light will fit. a 6" was too tight in mine.

I meant to comment on this yesterday, but didn't have time.

I have the Hella 500's on mine using MOMO's procedure (thanks dude) and they're very bright. Mounted a separate switch to them so they're independent from the regular lights. Bought a Tacoma switch, since I wanted a clean looking OEM look, and mounted it in one of the blank plates above the fuse box.
Great addition to night time off-road driving.
