Have a chance to swap my 285s for a set of 315s but I haven't upgraded my front brake calipers nor do I have the money to do it. I have tundra springs set on middle perch with PP springs in the rear. There's a set of 7.5/8 wraps sitting in my shop along with OEM LC shocks...not installed obviously.

Should I do it or wait till I have everything together. Anybody running 315s with 4runner calipers and rotors?

I'm still running the stock 4runner calipers and rotors. I plan on doing the TBU soon, but it really isn't too bad with the stock front brakes. It's manageable.

brakes shouldn't stop you from going to 35s

I agree 100% with snow runner. I have stock calipers and rotors w no issues.

Brakes aren't a huge issue.. I mean, they'd be nice but your biggest concern should be fitting the 35s.

Right I'm worried about that too. I haven't done my research as I thought id never go to 315s but I was offered the trade today.

I have no body lift and sit right at 23" in the front...hub to fender.

I've got the 231mm Tundra brakes and noticed a substantial difference between stopping my 295's and the 315's. they aren't much bigger but heavy enough to up the rotating mass and increase breaking and acceleration distances.
